About the event
The Casa del Cinema in Castel Volturno presents singer and guitarist Joe Caliva for An Evening of "La Canzone Napoletana Classica" (or classical Neapolitan songs). Through these timeless melodies, Caliva will celebrate the rich history, culture, and spirit of our beloved Naples. The son of second-generation Italian-American parents, Caliva is deeply connected to this music, which once represented an important connection to the beloved homeland of Italian immigrants who arrived in the United States in the early 20th century. The songs will be performed in the original Neapolitan language, accompanied by stories, images, and historical context shared in English and Italian.
